Let's Make Sense
Dialogical, participatory and interactive
February 2020, RCA, London
A two-part participatory workshop highlighting the senseless usage of single-use-plastic.
Initiated a meditative and thought provoking first workshop through sharing and encouraging discussion around the plastics generated by the everyday use of commodities. How and where did they think/imagine these would reach.
The second, a fun interactive session of making sound/music together as a group, directly inspired by the sound workshop facilitated by the talented composer and conductor Jack Sheen, inspired by Cage’s work. It helped devise a hierarchically controlled workshop, giving false pretence of providing performative autonomy to make music as a group to the audience. Mirroring the lulling of rational senses on the usage of single-use-plastic controlled/influenced by the capitalist apparatus.
