Through this collaborative project created and curated a space where artists were invited to come together to respond to the site; a council flat in a high rise situated in a very upscale neighbourhood. A council estate that is still trying to resist the homogeneity of gentrification and retain its individuality of diversity of the people residing in it.
Through an open call, artists from varied disciplines were invited to critically engage with the theme of movement/ nomadic behaviour and passage: the constant influx of people in a city. To enquire into the commonalities, and reasons of these behavioural patterns, whether the way spaces are being imagined, built and lived in today, the scarcity of open spaces, or the rising costs as a direct result of gentrification in cities like London that are shaping its communities.
